One handmade 12 cm Chanhua silk Christmas tree in red and green, on a wooden base and presented in a gift box.
Made to order in small batches · dispatched in 3–5 business days.
SKU: Christmas Tree-001
A handmade Chanhua silk Christmas tree, small enough for a desk.
Chanhua (缠花) is a Chinese folk craft: dyed silk floss is wound, strand by strand, over a paper-and-wire frame until a flat thread becomes a three-dimensional petal. It is closer to sculpture than to embroidery — there is no needle, and nothing is stitched.
This tree is built from red and green silk flowers set on a solid wooden base. Each flower is wound individually, then assembled and shaped to sit together as one tree. That is why a 12 cm piece takes about three hours of work rather than minutes on a machine.
Made by a heritage inheritor. Every tree is made by Hong (红), a Chanhua and Ronghua maker in our studio in Guang'an, Sichuan.
One finished Chanhua silk mini Christmas tree, 12 cm tall, on a wooden base 6 cm in diameter, presented in a gift box and ready to give.
It stands 12 cm tall and the wooden base is 6 cm across, so it fits on a desk, a shelf or a place setting.
Yes. The flowers are Chanhua silk flowers, wound strand by strand by hand. One 12 cm tree takes about three hours of work.
Each tree is made by Hong (红), a Chanhua and Ronghua maker in our studio in Guang'an, Sichuan.
Yes. It arrives in a gift box, so it is ready to give without extra wrapping.
Yes. The base is solid wood and carries the weight, so it does not need a separate stand.
Yes. The petals are wound from dyed silk floss rather than plastic or paper, which is why the surface catches the light like fabric.

I'm Hong. I make Chinese silk flowers by hand in Guang'an, Sichuan — Chanhua and Ronghua, the two crafts my grandmother taught me over six years.
She is eighty-nine now and has made these flowers since she was a girl. I left the craft for an office job in Guangzhou, missed the quiet of making something with my hands, and came back. Now I do this full time, and every piece in this shop is wound by me.
